Officers with the Seat
Pleasant Police Department apprehended 40-year-old Maurice Green, Jr.
of Washington, DC who has since been charged with first-degree assault.
On May 8, 2024, around 6:30
pm, Mr. Green was in the 5900 Block of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Highway when he got into a verbal dispute with the victim, an adult male, which resulted in Mr. Green stabbing the victim multiple times. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers were able to quickly
identify and place Mr. Green under arrest without incident. Mr.
Green is currently being held without bond.
The weapon used was located on the scene and recovered by officers.
